Didn’t really know what to expect here,
it’s a much bigger city than we thought.
We caught a taxi into the town centre being dropped off in the Temple
Bar area. We found M&S and had a bit of retail
therapy before moving on to the Jaimeson’s Distillery for our tour. The tour was very well done and quite
enjoyable, I think I have found a way that I could actually drink Whiskey. For our next stop we walked the 20 minutes to
the Guinness Storehouse for another tour, which we had booked before leaving
home. The Guinness Storehouse is a
massive place set over 7 levels, again very informative but extremely crowded,
the tour is finished off with a pint of Guinness in the sky view bar on the top
level of the building with views over Dublin.
As Karen and I do not drink Guinness David ended up having to have 3
pints to help us out or that is what he said.
We then walked back to a pub in the Temple Bar area for a very late bite
to eat before catching a taxi back to the ship.
