He last time we were in Papeete we stayed
in the town and did not see any of the countryside, so this time we decided to
do a tour.
Our half-day tour was again organised by
our friend Karen, we had a group of eight of us., it was a great group we had a
lot of laughs.
We meet our guide Carl just off the pier
and jumped into his mini van, we spent
the next 4-5 hours visiting all of the high points of the area, the lighthouse
and it’s monuments, the blow hole of Arahoho (which was closed but we all
jumped the fences), Faarumai waterfalls which were just beautiful (by this time
it was pouring with rain but still very warm), then back to the marketplace to
by pearls. After all of this we found a
nice bar to have some lunch and a couple of beers.
