After a very relaxing sea day came
Copenhagen. We decided to do this city
on our own, shuttle into main part of the city then walk. After walking over 12k the day in Bruges
today was an easy 8k.
Our first stop was the Rosenberg Castle
where the Danish crown jewels a kept, most of the castle dates back to the
1600’s and was every ornate with lots of dark wood & tapestry’s on all of
the walls. Our second stop was
Amalienborg Palace for the changing of the guards and to visit Mary of course.
Our final stop was the Nyhavn area, which
is a waterfront area full of cafes & restaurants, we stopped for a quick
drinks and a bit to eat, while sitting in the lovely café all of a sudden there
was the guards marching back to where ever they had to go, was a great sight to
see.
